Sound Recording offers a full range of professional analog and digital audio recording and post-production services.

 
The main studio features an extensive selection of microphones and a Steinway D concert grand piano. The
studio is acoustically tunable for a variety of recording needs.
The master control room is equipped with a 36 channel Soundcraft recording console along with professional
digital and analog recorders, Lexicon digital reverb, Pro Tools multi-track hard disk recording and editing
system, a MIDI workstation featuring Kurzweil, Korg, Yamaha, Roland, and Oberheim synthesizers, as well as sampling and SMPTE lockup capabilities.

Control room B is similarly equipped with a 16 channel recording console, digital and analog recorders, Sound Tools hard disk recording and editing system and a MIDI workstation.
A self-production studio is available to faculty and students who wish to produce classroom related projects such as recording lectures and simple sound tracks for classroom media projects.
The tape duplication facility provides reel to reel and cassette duplication in real time as well as high speed
duplication along with micro cassette to standard cassette duplication.
Sound Recording offers up to 20 hours of labor per year per faculty member at no charge for classroom related applications.
